Very nice old home setting. Good variety on the menu. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and Waldorf salad. It was all very good! I saw folks with burgers and club sandwiches that looked absolutely amazing. They all said it was great.
If you’re in Augusta, do yourself a favor and eat at McNeely’s Place. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful — the food, the atmosphere, and the staff were all top-notch. My husband ordered the pot roast, I had the smothered chicken, and my sister got the country fried steak, and every single plate was incredible. You can tell everything is homemade and made with care. If there’s a wait, I promise it’s worth it. And when they ask what kind of bread you want… get the pineapple banana nut bread. It was some of the best I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back!
Had a great lunch there! The special was flounder with two sides. Field peas and rice n gravy! Jalapeno cornbread was tasty as well.
